President, The 11th Asian Pacific Cleft Lip and Palate Craniofacial Congress (APCPC 2026)
It is my great honor and pleasure to warmly welcome you to the 11th Asian Pacific Cleft Lip and Palate Craniofacial Congress (APCPC 2026), to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, during 28th-30th October 2026, in collaboration with the Asian Pacific Craniofacial Association (APCA), the Asian Pacific Cleft-Lip-Palate & Craniofacial Congress (APCLPC), the Thai Cleft Lip-Palate & Craniofacial Association (TCCA), the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand (ThPRS), and the Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons of Thailand (ThSAPS).
The APCPC Congress was first established in Singapore in 1988 and has since grown into a vital platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the region: Taipei (1991), Rotorua (1995), Fukuoka (1999), Seoul (2003), Mumbai (2007), Perth (2011), Penang (2015), Khon Kaen (2019), and Taipei (2023). Each congress has strengthened our shared commitment to advancing comprehensive cleft and craniofacial care.
Bangkok, the vibrant capital of Thailand, was founded in 1782 by King Rama I. From its origins as a riverside trading community, the city has evolved into a dynamic global metropolis—rich in cultural heritage, diversity, and innovation. Today, Bangkok serves as a gateway where tradition and modernity harmoniously coexist.
Cleft lip, palate, and craniofacial care are undergoing significant transformation. The future lies in strong multidisciplinary team building, strategic ecosystem development, and long-term comprehensive care. These directions are closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
We warmly invite you to join us in Bangkok—to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and co-create a better future for our patients and communities. Together, we can continue to build a more inclusive, sustainable, and compassionate model of care.
